For the first time, WWF has identified Canada’s 10 longest wild rivers. These free-flowing rivers are relatively free from stressors like pollution and habitat fragmentation, and support a rich diversity of wildlife that includes at-risk species like caribou and lake sturgeon. They are irreplaceable. And they’re unprotected. WWF-Canada is calling for legal mechanisms to ensure these national treasures stay wild, for the wildlife and communities that rely on them.
